Terms of Service

This English text is a reference translation. The Japanese version is the authoritative text; if the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the conditions on which the provider of Senbei (the “App”), referred to as “we” or “us”, makes the App available to you (the “User”).

Article 1 (Scope)

  1. These Terms apply to every aspect of your use of the App.
  2. By downloading, installing or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2 (Requirements)

  1. The App requires an iPhone that can record with the front and back cameras at the same time, running iOS 16.0 or later. Supported models are iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and later (iPhone SE 2nd generation and later). The App cannot be used on iPhone X, iPhone 8 and earlier, and iPhone SE (1st generation), because their hardware cannot run both cameras at once.
  2. You use the App at your own risk.
  3. If you are under 13, please use the App with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

Article 3 (Prohibited conduct)

When using the App, you must not:

  1. break the law or act against public order and morals;
  2. photograph or record anyone without their consent (including hidden or covert recording);
  3. publish, share or use photos or videos of a person without that person’s consent;
  4. infringe anyone’s rights, including rights of publicity, privacy or copyright;
  5. capture or store obscene, violent, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate content;
  6. interfere with the operation of the App;
  7. reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the App; or
  8. do anything else we reasonably consider inappropriate.

Article 4 (Your captures)

  1. Photos and videos taken with the App are stored only on your device, in the App’s own storage area.
  2. You are responsible for managing your own captures.
  3. We do not collect, transmit or use your captures.
  4. Nothing is saved to your photo library unless you explicitly choose to save it.

Article 5 (Intellectual property)

  1. Copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in the App belong to us or to their respective owners.
  2. Copyright in the content you capture with the App belongs to you.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

  1. We do not warrant that the App will operate without fault, and we accept no liability for any damage arising from your use of it.
  2. We accept no liability if a fault in the App causes captures to be lost. Please save anything important to your photo library or elsewhere.
  3. We accept no liability for disputes between you and any third party arising from your use of the App.

Article 7 (Changes to and suspension of the service)

  1. We may change the App or stop providing it without prior notice.
  2. We accept no liability for any damage arising from such a change or suspension.

Article 8 (Changes to these Terms)

  1. We may revise these Terms as needed.
  2. Revised Terms take effect when they are shown in the App or on our website.

Article 9 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court with jurisdiction over our place of business.
